Did this for AI CRMs a few weeks back!
What I've tested so far for founder-led sales, small team:
1. Clarify
2. Fyxer
3. Lightfield
4. Hubspot
5. DayAI
6. Attio
7. TL;DV (Call recording but trying to do more)
8. Fathom
9. Pipedrive
What I learned:
1) Automation that auto‑populates the CRM feels magical the first time. Clarify even created a deal with the correct dollar amount with zero effort. After that, magic fades a bit. False positives crept in across platforms because they don't really have context on what I want - ex. referrals to & from consultants/partners get caught often.
Magic eventually needs guidance, context and guardrails.
2) Transcription quality matters. You can tell when a lightweight model is used. Most misses are names, company entities, and numbers.
3) Enrichment should be in every B2B tool by default. Costs are down and quality is more consistent. Highly recommend Crustdata if you're adding it to your product, cheaper options around for sure.
4) Lightfield - loved the simple daily prep emails with fantastic historical email/call context + enrichment.
The pattern that consistently worked across tools: maximize context with simplest, lowest effort access points.
5) Attio felt like composable CRM. Powerful and customizable. But it took a while to set up & didn't feel like I received the value I hear everyone else describing. Could be skill issue/user error - but almost felt like building a CRM from scratch.
6) Day AI has solid transcription + insight quality, and my favorite call research interface + outputs.
7) Cursor: okay hear me out on this. Since I spend most of my time in Cursor, I built a "CRM‑lite" repo of transcripts, joined to our CRM data via our warehouse + product I'm building, and very unique, custom 1st & 3rd party context.
For example, vibe code a podcast transcriber - tie it to CRM data + draft assets in a few minutes at scale. Main drawback is sharing this with the team + getting data back into tools.
Bottom line:
1. Context is still all that matters. Great UX can mask low quality context, but hard to keep that up over time. Transcription quality is now much higher on my requirements than before.
2. If I picked today - would start with Clarify, but had a great experience with DayAI/Lightfield (but more recent). Attio if you're a tinkerer/control freak.
3. Set up webhooks for transcript collection on day one. I didn’t do this and our transcripts are scattered. If you’re testing vendors, capture transcripts from the start. Most tools make it extremely painful enterprise-gate it later on.
4. In the end, we moved the team back to HubSpot and will pair it with a high quality call recorder that syncs cleanly. The time-to-value, integrations, simple setup, out‑of‑the‑box value, and easy export to the warehouse on a standardized, well-worn schema are tough to beat at the price point.
Know I may not have gotten full value out of all of the products, but was impressed by each for different reasons. Ex. Fyxer's follow-up drafts, Clarify's deal updates, Lightfield's out of the box planning & enrichment.
Let me know if there are any other strong contenders I should take a look at, or more detailed reviews that would be helpful!

Watched "Return to Space" - a Netflix documentary. Overall it was great, a dreamer's dream. Few others have pointed out another side of the coin: https://t.co/TE35rTNjOx
