Hello! My name is Rebecca Eaton, I am a children’s and YA librarian at West Windsor Library. If I am not working, I am either crocheting or obsessing over HP.
I am almost done with the fifth book in the series Cold Blood. I recommend EVERYONE to read/listen to Robert Bryndza books, they are a work of art! #audiobooks#booktwt#BookLover
So, I have a confession to make. I have binge listen to the audio detective book about a woman named Erika Foster, written by Robert Bryndza. Let me just say…HOLY CRAP! This is probably my new favorite book series! I can’t get enough of it.
I see this meme on a daily basis at my job. It’s on a faces of the children when I help them find a #book they have been wanting to read. And also, I make that face when I am at my job with the new books coming in. #librarytwitter#readingcommunity
Because when you tell young people what to do, we do the ✨exact opposite✨Proud to support #Freadom as a librarian and a citizen entitled to basic rights like being able to read what I want 😎 https://t.co/HRNvXw610I
I am going to print this out, and keep it in my wallet. So, then next time someone asks me "Why be a #librarians ? Isn't is a dead job?" I will show them this!
This is me right now! My #youngadult section tour at my #library was a success! I was able to reach a new audience of readers who, did not know there was a section just for them 🤯. I took notes or programs, design and books they would like to have available! I can't wait to help
programs and books they would like to have in the library. I am excited to not only show the teen's why #libraries are still important but to also let their voices be heard and interact with a new audience of teens! #librariestransform#yalit
In 15 minutes I will be hosting a new program. The #youngadult section tour where I show new YA #readers the part of the library where they can find books for their age. I will also show the different collections I have to offer to them as well. I will ask for their input on
I can’t believe someone tried to get this important book pulled from the shelves! Fist off, reading #graphicnovel is the same as reading a chapter book. Second, just leave #books alone! Everyone has the right to #read! #LibraryTwitter#BannedBooks
I Served on a book challenge committee for my school district today. Someone tried to get the graphic novel adaptation of The Diary of Anne Frank pulled from shelves. Everything but the illustrations come from her diary. We voted unanimously to keep it on library shelves. 1/
Today for my #storytime I will be reading these three amazing books! I wanted all of the children to feel represented during this month of holidays. I hope everyone has a wonderful #Easter, #Passover and #Ramadan! #LibraryTwitter#Excited
@teacher2library I love everything about this! At my library, I put up a book display about Ramadan. A lot of families who celebrate it told me that this means the world to them, and that they feel a part of the library community. Which is part of my job, to make all walks of life feel safe.
