My article on the use of un/underpaid prison labour to support memory work is now out in The Library Quarterly! I argue that this type of labour is exploitative, and that those of us in the information profession need to recognize this. 1/3
i truly hope that these blows to the fragile diversity, access, inclusion frame encourage students, staff & faculty to organize for more transformational education, like open enrollment, free tuition, dropping standardized tests, community control mechanisms over private boards
