Something I’ve noticed in more recent romance books is that authors try to make intelligence as an equalizer between the MCs but the MMC always has to be just 🤏much smarter than the FMC bc she can never actually have power over him
theyre in the quotes bringing up white people choosing white names for white characters as if white people are marginalized & under-represented. indians are allowed to feel however they want about non-indians naming indian characters, youve all lost your minds 😭

she clearly put no thought into this representation it’s very weird and to police indians on this is so odd
if anyone is interested in this perspective I recommend Rape and Resistance by Linda Martin Alcoff. Currently reading exactly why the idea of contractual consent regarding sex is insufficient
