We celebrated our Magnet Coordinator with Mr. Perez Day! Our campus is made whole by Mr. Perez who brings excitement to every academic subject and Magnet event! Mr. Perez is a Harry Potter fan, so students and our staff dressed up just for him! @burbankesHISD@BuildUpHISD
Happy School Librarian Day to all of my fellow Librarians! I have received so much love today and my heart is full. So incredibly lucky to serve the community and bring amazing books to our students! Hug a librarian, today! @HISDLibraryServ @burbankesHISD
Burbank ES students are working hard with Tinkercad and our ROBO 3D Printer to design and print their 3D printed objects! Sparking a passion for STEM is just one of the amazing things our library does for our kids! @burbankesHISD@tinkercad @HISDLibraryServ @ROBO3D
What happens when GT students get ideas in the library?! They use TinkerCad to design their own inventions and print put prototypes on our 3D printer! Engineers coming at ya! @burbankesHISD @HISDLibraryServ @tinkercad
Who Run the World?! Girls! March is Women’s History Month and we are ready for it! So many kids have checked out some of our amazing books about true Girl Power! @HISDLibraryServ @burbankesHISD
When the librarian has to complete some book reviews for grad school, we make sure they are FUN and INTERESTING for the kids! They had so much fun learning about animal camouflage with this book! @KariLavelle@Sourcebooks @HISDLibraryServ
Thanks to my mom and grandmother, the library tree is complete! Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is one of my favorite books to read to our students! @burbankesHISD@Burbank_LIM @HISDLibraryServ @roald_dahl
Learning more and more about Native Heritage! The students created their own teepees/tipis and showcased some of the Native designs they learned about. @HISDLibraryServ @burbankesHISD@Burbank_LIM
We ALMOST doubled our circulation for October! I know we will definitely double November. So exciting that there are so many books getting into students’ hands! ❤️📚❤️ @HISDLibraryServ @burbankesHISD@Burbank_LIM
After reading We are Water Protectors, the students picked out their own small bits of nature (leaves, grass, flowers) to add to our heroine’s hair. Her hair is one way the illustrator shows strength and connection to nature!

November is Native American Heritage Month, and our read-aloud this week shares a poetic tale of the importance and sacredness of water. I will share the inspiring projects the students did to accompany this book! @HISDLibraryServ @burbankesHISD@Burbank_LIM@CaroleLindstrom
One of our 5th grade girls built this very cool color sensor project with our LEGO STEM kits! Teaching about coding and computer/software engineering has opened up a whole new world of career possibilities for kids! #girlswhocode @HISDLibraryServ @LEGO_Education@burbankesHISD
