Going through submissions to our reference stats form, now that we're halfway through the semester, and the best by far is: "running small dog came into the library with no accompanying owner" 😂 #LibraryLife

Partly because I didn't feel like I was very helpful to this student & I always have trouble releasing those consults from my brain, but also because it was kind of refreshing?? to talk about google with a student in a way that wasn't just "don't use it"

In a research consult this week I told a student that google was probably better than library databases for the kind of research he was doing and he said "Thank you for your honesty" and I can't stop thinking about that meeting
