Op-ed from Health Policy Advisor Heather Braum via @CJOnline: "Kids aren’t born ready to take care of themselves. If we want kids to succeed from the very beginning, we must focus on ensuring their families are also succeeding and thriving." https://t.co/iqqaa9hLJg
Are you kidding me? Coupled with the firing of tenured professors & eliminating programs, how are these actions going to make Emporia State University a better school? Will someone from the national media please do a story on what the heck is going on here.
Dr. Storm is my academic advisor and a current professor. The university has not seen fit to communicate changes to me, a paying grad student. Tell me again how this is about healthy, cost-saving changes for ESU? #Emporiastate#powertrip https://t.co/fISP0ek4JX
I hope everyone in higher ed is watching what's unfolding today at Emporia State University. They just suspended tenure and fired five professors from the English department.
If you don’t know what’s currently happening with Emporia State U, inform yourself. As a grad alumni (‘08, MLS) and current grad student (English), I’m disappointed, ashamed of ESU, and just sick at heart for my professors and fellow students.
I wrote a yarn about yarn — and the lengths knitters and crocheters go to in reverse-engineering famous knitwear patterns — for the @nytimes. https://t.co/BBn5NcOB0C
Long awaited, and here she is: the newest (and largest) addition to the shop - a custom-built cutting table. #sopretty#bytheyard#readytowork @ The Harried Hen https://t.co/Dc6qJ5Xj5q
