One of the most powerful moments of the TESTIFY event on June 19th came during Kate Peter's speech.

For years, Karen Read and Aidan Kearney have worked to create an illusion of fear around supporting the witnesses in this case. The message has been clear: if you speak up, if you tell the truth, if you refuse to join the mob, you will be attacked, harassed, ridiculed, and targeted. The goal was never just to defend Karen Read. The goal was to make everyone else afraid.

But fear only works when people accept it.

What we saw on June 19th was the exact opposite.

We saw people standing together publicly and unapologetically in support of witnesses who have endured years of harassment for simply participating in the legal process. We saw people refusing to be intimidated. We saw people choosing courage over silence.

And that's why this is so much bigger than the Karen Read case.

Because if a coordinated campaign of harassment can successfully silence witnesses in one case, it can happen in any case. If people become afraid to testify, afraid to cooperate with investigators, afraid to tell the truth because of what might happen to them afterward, the integrity of our entire justice system is threatened. The message from TESTIFY is that witnesses should never have to stand alone.

But there was another message too.

At the heart of all of this is John O'Keefe.

Every person who speaks out. Every person who shares the facts. Every person who refuses to let intimidation win. Every person who supports those who have been targeted for telling the truth is helping ensure that John's story is not forgotten.

His voice may have been taken from him, but his impact has not.

In many ways, John O'Keefe's legacy has transcended his death. Through the people who continue to fight for the truth, through those who stand beside the witnesses and John's family, and through those who refuse to allow misinformation and intimidation to become the norm, his memory continues to reach further than anyone could have imagined.

That is what TESTIFY represents.

Not fear. Not silence. Not intimidation.

But the belief that truth matters, witnesses matter, and that one good man's legacy can continue to inspire people long after he is gone.

There was a fantastic evening tonight in Canton supporting the O’Keefe family and the witnesses. The despicable FKR crowd reportedly called in a bomb threat. According to a guest, officers conducted a quick two-minute sweep of the building and then left to a standing ovation. Once again, good triumphs over evil. Bomb threats cannot silence the truth!

We reached out to @adamdeitch and invited him on our show. We figured that since he interviewed with one of Aidan Kearney/Turtleboy’s biggest supporters—a man charged with multiple counts of witness intimidation—he would be open to appearing on a show that supports the O’Keefe family, the victims who live in Norfolk County, and the witnesses who were intimidated and harassed, many of whom also live in Norfolk County.

HE DECLINED.

Norfolk County residents: take note. You should all have serious concerns about how witnesses, victims, and victims’ families would be treated under an @adamdeitch administration.

@adamdeitch led the investigation into the death of John O’Keefe and found no evidence of corruption or conspiracy. Now, while running for Norfolk County DA, he is campaigning on an anti-police, anti-government message. You might as well elect Karen Read, Aidan Kearney, David Yanetti and Alan Jackson.

Everybody loves the view from the moon, Aidan. Nobody wants to stick around for the crash landing. You weren't the hero of this story - you were the attraction. A patsy. A clown. A carnival sideshow that kept the crowd entertained with lies and half truths about innocent witnesses and their families while everyone (including Karen Read, David Yannetti, etc) cheered from a safe distance and were perfectly willing to stand beside you - so long as there was something in it for them. But now that the consequences have arrived, they've disappeared, one by one.

Welcome to reality. It's amazing how quickly the people who helped launch you into orbit suddenly forget your name when you're falling back to earth.

Imagine going after a victim’s friends. For years, Aidan Kearney has targeted John O’Keefe’s family and closest friends—The people who loved John.

And boy does he hates when they talk about John. When they remember their friend. When they remind people that there was a victim in this case. He mocks them. He shames them.

Yet the person who should be talking about John the most never has. Karen Read has never shared a funny story about him, never spoken kindly about him, never reflected on the life he lived or the person he was. The man she claimed to love is never remembered by her at all.

That’s what should appall people.

Normal people understand that there are lines you don’t cross. A victim’s loved ones should never become targets. I genuinely don’t understand how some of you have convinced yourselves that this behavior is normal, let alone acceptable. You cheer when he goes after John’s friends and family—whether it’s chasing his friends down a street with an unhinged mob, like something out of the Salem witch trials, or dedicating entire shows to attacking, dehumanizing, and vilifying the people John O’Keefe loved.

Whatever your opinion of the case, going after a victim’s family, friends, and loved ones is both demented and indefensible. Do Better.

After 19 months of waiting patiently, the O’Keefe attorneys are asking the court to compel Karen Read to comply with discovery requests. She has handed over zero discovery and objects to literally all of it. Every single discovery request has been met with an objection. She doesn't want to give up anything.
Karen Read is hiding from the truth. There's no denying that.
