The campus branch of Matrix Energy filling station, constructed under a Public–Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement, was commissioned today at the University.
Commissioning the project, located along the University Gate, Iddo axis of the campus, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Hakeem Babatunde Fawehinmi, said the facility represents a key step in advancing the University’s infrastructure and development agenda.
He commended the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Matrix Energy Limited, Engineer Abdulkadir Adisa, for the company’s support toward infrastructure development at the University in recent years, and urged the company to ensure the long-term sustainability of the project.
“I want to commend the Chairman of the
Matrix Group, who has been a major benefactor and development partner of the University over the past few years, for working with us to deliver this very important project,” he said.
The Executive Director, Marketing, Matrix Group, Oluwatoyin Showunmi, assured the University of quality service delivery to the campus and surrounding communities, while also encouraging feedback from the University to help the company continually improve its services to the University community.
Members of the University Governing Council, principal officers, and the University management team were present at the commissioning.

The UniAbuja Library appreciates the receipt of Book Aid International @Book_Aid generous donation of a large range of new books to University of Abuja in support of transformative education! The Vice Chancellor Prof. Aisha Sani Maikudi performed the unveiling of the books.
To this regard, every postgraduate student is expected to come to the proquest Unit to publish their research work before proceeding to the Postgraduate School for final clearance.
proQuest Publication Unit has been set up and it is saddled with the responsibility of publishing all Ph.D and Masters Research work of the University.
There will be no need of digitizing hard copies of theses and dissertation in the library again as the published work will be accessed automatically at the Institutional Repository (I.R)
