I took a different approach for the 3rd attempt at getting O’Neill’s pavement licence, rewriting the application so that the area benefited from outside seating while leaving space for pedestrians. O’Neill’s customers are free to sip their drinks outside & enjoy the hot weather!

Yardbirds,after providing your favourite fried chicken at festivals for 4 years has been granted the licence to open a restaurant. It includes the condition of no deliveries 7pm-7am. Another day of promoting the client’s business and making sure neighbours& authorities are happy!

On 23/7/22, a man was fatally stabbed at Star & Scorpion and on 29 July 2022, the premises licence was suspended following an Expedited Review. At a Full Review the licensing sub-committee decided to impose additional conditions on the premises licence and remove the DPS.
We made representations against this interim step and on 12 August 2022, the licensing sub-committee agreed to modify the interim measures so that the premises could reopen, subject to some conditions.

It would be unfair for Sutton Coldfield if our local Lee DeSanges did not open a Baked in Brick, only this time bigger! While this one can’t promise a Mini-Cooper in the walls, it is 3 floors of goodness. Baked in Brick has been granted an alcohol licence for Thursday-Saturday!
Miss the impromptu mosh pits Birmingham had in August? Another venue open for mosh lovers: Devil’s Dog. Live music venue has been granted a licence and it opens in October. Fun fact: its original name was Mash Pit, obviously!

Licensed trade has been hammered the last 2 years; as we recover from the pandemic, licensed premises are invaluable in maintaining social cohesion and lifting spirits. It is vital that the licensed trade is given every incentive to invest in their future.
