@ptmcconville @roseybillington Thank you! I found some interesting small differences in how people pronounce some vowels in Tas vs Sydney, eg the tongue doesn't seem to move as far forward in the mouth in the vowels of eg "face", "price" and "choice". Stay tuned in the future as I hope to do more research :))

Handed in my honours thesis "Exploring Tasmania’s place in Australian English regional variation through diphthongs" today! To think, at the start of 2022 I hadn't ever met a linguist in person 🤯 Thanks to everyone who helped along the way, esp my supervisor @roseybillington :))
