Year 1 had a wonderful day celebrating Black History Month with their Year 6 Buddies. They all worked incredibly well together to make a Dr Mae Jemison rocket 🚀 The Year 6 children created a Presentation on their iPads to share with their buddies in the afternoon

Lots of fun in Reception Seedlings class today with Drawing Club. Wacky Races has inspired us to design our own vehicles and give them special registration plates with letters and numbers. Some amazing vocabulary, design ideas and drawings!🙂
Pre-school have been looking at maps and what you can use them for/might find on them. We have started to explore our route to familiar parts of the school grounds and describing how we get to those areas!
St Chad's Choir had the most amazing time last night at a Music Share concert at Lichfield Cathedral. They rehearsed in the afternoon, then took part in Evensong and then sung to a busy audience in the evening! Miss Board and Mrs Holden were so proud of them! @the_atlp 🎶🎶🎶
Pre-school have been learning all about London this week, as we’ve started our topic book, ‘The Queen’s Hat’! The children have been looking at some of London’s most famous landmarks and buildings, and constructing their own bridges across the River Thames 💂♂️🎡
We’ve been busy in Year 3 today investigating right angles. We used our right angle checker (a handy ruler) to support us in our learning. Superb group work and explanations - well done!
We have had a great day thinking about how we can look after our environment in Year 3! We made a start on designing posters to promote how we can look after the planet. A member of our class even brought this book in which supported our learning!
Last week, Shoots class made their own smoothies! The children helped to prepare the fruit and had a try of the different smoothies we made 🍓 We incorporated this into our mini-math sessions and took a vote to find out which flavour was the most popular!
This week in year 3 we’ve been learning about our skeleton and the names for all the different bones. We didn’t know we were made up of so many bones!!
