Meet Our Panellist: Irene David-Arinze (née Ubani) is a seasoned journalist and mediapreneur with almost a decade of experience in development communications. She is dedicated to driving development through communication.
As the Founder of LIDA NETWORK, she provides strategic support to corporate, government, and development organizations, while championing peace advocacy in Nigeria’s conflict-sensitive regions.
An alumna of the Mandela Washington Fellowship and the Thomson Reuters Foundation, Irene previously served as the YALI Abuja Coordinator.
Her academic background blends diplomacy, media, and business. She holds a degree from Covenant University, a Master’s in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Ahmadu Bello University, and completed the Global Business program at Harvard Business School Online. She is currently further augmenting her leadership skills through an MBA at Miva University.
A media voice, Irene is a contributor to the BBC, ARISE News, Channels Television, and The Namibian.
