@BobFromAccounts I asked a constable what could be done about traffic noise (cars leaning on horns at night, as well as the sound system level of car stereos) and was told it's a council noise issue. Nothing in the highway code about noise? Not just asbo - drivers can't safely operate cars?
@gamecounsel one of my neighbours built a light fixture out of wine glass - a DIY but beautiful chandelier for their kitchen. i loved it and hated that the folks that bought the house just tossed it.
Nearly £4k a month for a two-bedroom flat. These are the new-builds that are supposed to "fix" the housing crisis.
It's time for the government to put renters first. We need public housing, not rip-off luxury flats. We need rent controls, not massive developer profits.
@Kwajotweneboa For help with government forms and processes the government should have the people on hand to help. The fobbing off to under resourced volunteer organisations needs to stop. 2/2
@Kwajotweneboa I once filled in the form for advice after being directed there by the council. A week later I received the reply that they didn't have anyone with expertise to help. Sadly I think it's very limited in what it can offer and completely overwhelmed. 1/2
Who's behind the massive lobbying campaign to expand the island airport? What I discovered should worry us all https://t.co/RsSippjdUX via @torontostar
@Lambethgp This is not just a City Splash issue - the traffic issues are a festival issue. I wrote to complain about Lime Bike piles and traffic during Cross the Tracks - in contrast City Splash was much quieter and more orderly. Careful to demonise one festival rather than looking at all
18. The transition from child to adult services is so stressful. At 18/19 full time education provision ends. At 18 the parent/carer will lose family allowance and any element of UC they claim for a dependent disabled child. This will do untold harm. A Labour Government did this.
Made in Lambeth, Failed in Lambeth: The catastrophic Starmer project was born in the borough – and is now crashing down in humiliating fashion, thanks to Claire Holland’s latest bout of petty Labour factionalism

@markjohnson@thameswater@lambeth_council Oh that junction has had a couple of water main breaks over the last few years. Whatever fix is being applied isn't working.
Nigel Farage who last week, on camera, promised cuts in local taxes if Reform were elected as local councilors is today saying he never promised cuts in local taxes and that taxes will have to rise because of Labour.
The UK media of course ignored this.
