@thejobchick HR is there mostly because of insane amount of US regulations (the more regulations the more HR, i.e. California). If a business messes up, forgets to file a govt form it’s lawsuits & fines. The problem is the mountain of rules, not the people stuck enforcing them.
Sad reality is too many layers have been added to the selection process trying to find the ‘perfect’ candidate (culture assessments, endless interview rounds, take-homes, keyword-filtered ATS).
Focus needs to be shifted towards simplifying these processes.
The “talent shortage” is a lie.
Companies aren’t hiring, they’re unicorn hunting.
6 plus interviews, fake take-home projects, ATS auto-rejections, and ghosting at the finish line.
Plenty of capable people. Shortage of sane hiring.
@MikeMagayy@mcuban Although it is part of the problem, they make illegals the main narrative to distract you from looking into the main problem. Illegals are not eligible for private health insurance, these are US citizens who get their claims denied.

@mcuban As someone who worked in HR in Texas they should AT LEAST give you instructions on how to go about doing this. I understand this gentleman though, I knew some HR people who didn’t know how deductibles worked 🤷🏻♀️
