The electricity grid in the Netherlands is severely congested and at full capacity in many regions, causing localized power shortages and blackouts. Grid strain is driven by a massive surge in renewable energy, electric cars and heat pumps.

@Miatsf Net zero in the a Netherlands is now a disaster. The fast expansion (years ago btw) has caused the grid to be overloaded. Powercuts are now a regular occurrence. My mother had one for 90 minutes last week. All planned. Learn from them!

@YvetteCooperMP Driving to Dunkirk last week to catch the ferry, the last 10km along a country road I started to see all these camps in the bushes along the road. And a long line of men (I did spot 1 lady and 1 child) all wearing orange life jackets, all heading for the coast!!!!
