I made a quick tip/idea for any future vtubers out there! this is a general guideline and also just my taste, but maybe it'll resonate with someone out there!

I find that simple and complex go really well together, so for example if you have a really complex part of the design, try having a simple part as well, so that complex part really gets to shine!
more detail /= better/more unique, you can have very unique/interesting silhouettes without overloading the model with detail!
most important thing in my mind is that you have a strong identity/idea/theme and you'll be able to design something memorable and cute! you can use hair and clothing to make a unique silhouette, and you can have special details to solidify the theme. work smarter, not harder!

something important for this as well is for the front and back to be well-separated in terms of color, brightness, saturation or any combination of those!

you can break the rules to make more memorable designs of course, complex+complex or simple+simple can be really awesome as well! this is just a simple way to make a cool silhouette
