She is speaking out to expose the historical crimes she was subjected to as a child within the Jehovah Witnesses religion.

As the number of views increases, JPN mass media will be more interested in JW, and the easier it will be for the government to take more actions.

The Asahi - For eight years until he turned 18, a man raised as a third-generation Jehovah's Witness suffered because he couldn't have heart surgery due to his parents' refusal to allow a blood transfusion.

Breaking!!
The verdict is out!
Norway vs Jehovah's Witnesses 1-0
Full victory for us!
JW are deregistered in Norway at this moment, they lost completely and are also ordered to pay the State $25K to cover their expenses.
I will expand this in a minute when I read through 🧵
A long interview regarding JW’s blood transfusion issue based on real experience will be broadcast in Japan. Former HLC member elder will also talk in this program. You will be able to watch it in English in 2 weeks by YouTube.
@defendsurvivors Damage goes far beyond scarring and permanent physical injuries. You can't show someone your emotional scars as proof of what you endured but that pain and trauma and how it impacts your life is there no matter what. And it is always valid.
@defendsurvivors I have this conversation with other survivors of domestic violence as well - but also when survivors compare the abuse they suffered to others and discount their own stories because it wasn't as physically severe/pervasive. It hurts me to watch any abuse survivor go through this.
Yesterday, there was a very big TV news about Jehovah’s Witnesses here in Japan. We revealed 「Hidden strong instruction of JW about Blood Transfusion prohibition which only Elders have」. One brave elder appeared in this TV news.
@JasonMWynne Everything they do and say with regard to any form of abuse, trauma, and mental health stinks of gas lighting and victim blaming. Prayer and scripture and service and meetings didn't work for me so I MUST have been doing it all wrong.
@JasonMWynne So many memories of being told that I could get better... if only I believed in / prayed to Jehovah enough. If such a "loving" God didn't care to intervene when I was getting dragged around by my hair, strangled, and beaten with a metal bar, why would he care about depression?
@JoNotGivingUp How can someone so smart be so stupid? (Family)
Get over it/move on.
You stayed with him, so you deserved what he did.
You could have left at any time if you really wanted to.
Was it really worth all that just to say you had a boyfriend? (Therapist)
Iidabii, a rapper and slam poet who is the son of a Jehovah's Witnesses follower, has recounted his painful childhood experiences through spoken word performances and song. https://t.co/r1VXuOB4eR
Please read and share this excellent investigative piece by @Wilsoncriscione about the prevalence of abuse within the Jehovah's Witness church in Washington State.
Survivors are now filing civil claims against the JWs for common law negligence.

@defendsurvivors I think it would be especially insulting to a survivor, because we all know they are not crying about the trauma and damage caused. They are crying for themselves. They knew what they were doing the entire time and didn't cry then, correct?
@linda_carmel_@_sarahdavies@JillianLeeAdams @BiteYerBumHard @FadeSonja @kimsilvioExJw @ali_l_millar @MarkJonesQuora @Larchwood20@exjwgoats Late summer 2016, I basically had the worst panic attack before going out in service, and I never went back. Every time I tried, I would have another massive panic attack. I'm sure the PTSD from abuse contributed but I think I just switched abusers. Lasted barely 3 years baptized
@linda_carmel_@_sarahdavies@JillianLeeAdams @BiteYerBumHard @FadeSonja @kimsilvioExJw @ali_l_millar @MarkJonesQuora @Larchwood20@exjwgoats I left him at the end of 2012, resumed my studies just weeks afterward, and was baptized 7 months later in 2013. I am actually surprised I lasted in the cult until mid 2016. I fought terrible panic attacks and kept forcing myself through them because I thought it was the DV.
