Today we had an extra special visitor to the base!

Jason was flown by Life Flight last month for a medical emergency. Coming to the base with his family, it was a happy surprise to meet the same crew who flew him that day!

Our Westpac Rescue Helicopter flew down to Christchurch after responding to a sporting injury last night.
Landing on the Hospital helipad, the patient was swiftly transferred.
Thanks to your support we were able to quickly respond, giving the patient the best chance for recovery.

It looks like our rescue mannequin Allan is having a hard week and is looking forward to the long weekend 😴

While he might be able to go on a break, our crew will be on-call 24-7 (just in case Allan gets caught out in the ocean again!)
