@KevinObie1 Can’t think of an easy example, maybe being honest in my workplace & refusing to tread into the “grey area” of truth. It is very hard in the world today as truth has become objective. Everyone lives their truth not THE truth. #healthyfaithchat
@KevinObie1 Remembering that we can’t change each other, God can. We are meant to love each other and be the salt and light and let God do His work in them. #healhyfaithchat
@KevinObie1 If I believe my last answer that godly happiness is about who God is then it would follow to have that happiness I need to know Him. I believe that it is in the pages of scripture that God reveals to us himself. And so I have found both Him and happiness there. #healthyfaithchat
@KevinObie1 A4: I think that Godly happiness is awareness that whatever comes, whatever God does/doesn’t do in His sovereign will that He will be who He says He is & that’s always enough. Maybe I’m trying to say that Godly happiness is not about us, but about who God is. #healthyfaithchat
@KevinObie1 A3: Hmm, I don’t know that the feeling itself is sin..I am considering the verse “do not sin in your anger” Eph. 4:26 It’s not anger that is sin, but what we do with it. Perhaps it is not happiness that’s the sin, but it becomes sinful when attributed to evil? #HealthyFaithChat
@KevinObie1 A2: Somewhere along the way we determined sadness is weakness, which is unfortunate. Remember we can carry deep sorrow & pain and still rest in happiness & joy & sometimes we choose the happy face because it is easier than the conversations that come otherwise. #healthyfaithchat
@KevinObie1 A1: I think that happiness is a choice and that joy is a fruit of walking in step with the spirit. I think the people who are truly happy are those that have figured out happiness is not about how we feel, but about who God is despite how we feel. #HealthyFaithChat
@KevinObie1 A7: There have been moments where I was the offender & people have extended me grace I did not deserve, deep kindness & compassion in light of my broken & harmful choices. Experiencing what a gift that is & what that feels like inspires be to be that to others. #HealthyFaithChat
@KevinObie1 A6: Repentance I think is a change of heart reflected in change of behaviour. A turning from running into the direction of sun to running in the direction of Christ. It’s a feeling that sparks change in our very being. Feeling sorry alone won’t & can’t do that. #HealthyFaithChat
@KevinObie1 A5: I don’t know exactly but I wonder if it is that at our core we all know that the wages of sin is death and so we fear the consequences we fairly would deserve if not for the grace of God. Perhaps God allows this to help us from sinning further. #HealthyFaithChat
