@thaimiller2019 Is it illegal to fly a flag other than the Thai flag at your house here? Do you think someone just saw it and didn't like it so asked the police to take action?
@Ajarncom Probably a 7. Points off for the 5,000 baht scheme which caused problems. However, there's been lots of good things: sensible curfew, visa amnesty (after a few days) and social distancing/mask use on public transport etc.
@SveinFalk@PaulmurphyBKK I called and cancelled True until the football is back, no problems with that. No point spending all that money for months with nothing to watch
Will Covid-19 be a game changer? Will more people see Thailand as a place where they can get more for their money, have better leisure opportunities and a change of career which is more rewarding?

@electricjarpot @abroadwithalec @tesolmatthew @Ajarncom The DELTA can be done by distance but you'll need someone to observe your lessons. There are other CELTA level courses you can take but the expectation is you have a four week teaching certificate and at least two years teaching experience before DELTA
@abroadwithalec @tesolmatthew @Ajarncom Top end language schools advertise online for mangers, usually on their own website. Pretty sure the TEFL departments of int schools do too. Most management I know started as teachers then moved up in the same school though first.
@RichardBarrow It's a concern for some for sure. However, with not being able to go to restaurants, bars shut, golf courses and other sports venues closed and transport costs way down, most people I know have made considerable savings this month and a 2/3k electric bill isn't a big problem.
@tesolmatthew @Ajarncom If you find yourself 'stuck' in a 30/40k job here and bemoan the fact that you can't make more then you haven't researched enough. With a CELTA 50k is possible with DELTA 80k. 100k+ in management in right places.
One thing is clear from the last few weeks, there needs to be better communication from the Thai authorities to both tourists and expats about issues and procedures in the future. We shouldn't have to rely on one expat blogger to be contacted and then share with us all...
We need a channel which works and sends out information in English in a clear way and is able to answer questions quickly. The last few weeks have been a real struggle to get information and have left a sour taste for many
