@JoshACarpenter@GolfChannel Always liked this guy. One of the best.
And he has some great stories from his playing days. Especially losing the winner's check at Pleasant Valley.
@Paulg1385@TampaTrader21@the_iceman64 My dad enlisted when he was 27. He became a U.S. citizen in El Paso, TX during basic training in 1943.
He was also in the South Pacific in New Guinea and the Philippines.
My uncle enlisted at 17 with a fake birth certificate. I have that one and his real one. He never married or had kids and I became his legal guardian later in life.
When he passed away in 2015, my cousin called me and yelled at me because he said his birthday was wrong on the gravestone in the military cemetery. I had to explain to him that they went by official records and he never knew the story.
My cousin is a retired Army Colonel and his dad was there on Dday as well and was KIA in Vietnam.
@rick_tuberosa@Mikehomeseller I went to Northeastern and would go to tons of Sox games during the day in late 80's/early 90's. I saw lots of the visiting teams in the area at hotels/restaurants.
I also saw the Utah Jazz with Mark Eaton and the Pacers with Reggie Miller and LaSalle Thompson.
In the U.S. it is Sedona. It is simply incredible. So peaceful and beautiful.
Ireland. I have been 4 times, the weather has been perfect every time. The food is very good, the golf is great, and the countryside in the southwest is so green and beautiful.
My dad was born there, he would be 110 now! My friend took me down to the area he was born and lived until he was about 6. That was my favorite trip. Take a look at the views from Old Head Golf Links.
@Mikehomeseller My current job, working for myself as an insurance broker.
But if I had to pick working for someone it was landsacaping in the summers during high school and college. I love warm weather and being outdoors.
I don't know anyone of that age or even in their 60's that has 100% in stocks.
I do think there are lots of people who have never experienced a bear market at all and think the market will always go up year to year. And there are those that did experience large downturns but somehow forgot about them.
I am far more conservative than most partly due to have a chunk of money earmarked in guaranteed income, none of my money in the market is needed for at least 10 years and most importantly I can run my biz as long as I want, even part time, and make a decent living.
Thankfully we have the US Attorney to prosecute people here.
"In his role as Vice President of Baseball Operations for NBS, Gerstel was the only NBS board member with access to the payment software system, ArbiterPay, that NBS used to pay professional umpires."
There is mistake number 1.
@reallyoptimized@gregmushen While I agree 17k steps is a lot, your walk is a really slow pace.
I walk at about a 16 minute per mile clip and the normal route I take is just over 4 miles at around 8200 steps. I will do more on a weekend sometimes.
