@PrinceVogel Yeah Iβm a Michigander, French-german-polish-anishinaabe. Family forged in the settling and formation of culture on this land. Many are like me, we recognize each other
Delaying marriage and having kids has been an effective way to sever people from their roots. When you never meet your grandparents, it becomes simple to tell you that ancestry doesnβt matter. This outcome was never accidental.
@longstoryfarms I built my house two miles from where my great grandparents grew up and started a business in an old cabin diner that my great great grandma used to work at. Ancestor power is highly underrated
I love how intuitive reality is so much of the time. How do you know when the pan is the right temperature? When the sound is a nice sizzle. So easy to discern from a wimpy sizzle or an angry spattering
Such a blessing to receive a visit from such a bright and engaging writer like O.W.
At its best, twitter is like a coffee shop: a place to make real connections and put good things into the world.
Spent the morning at the enchanting Trillium Woods Coffee far north on M-119 in the Northwest corner of Michigan with (@lifeworlding) and his wife, the wonderful couple who runs this lovely place in one of the most beautiful and serene regions.
One of my favorite parts of my work is getting to visit with such wonderful people, learn about what they do, and spend a little time with them learning about their world.
Go north, get on M-119, drive along the bluffs above the lake, and stop at Trillium Woods Coffee.
