These lanterns, created by families and survivors of Oct. 27th and 10.27 Healing Partnership staff, are in honor of the Monterey Park community and @mpkhope on the first commemoration of the Lunar New Year tragedy. We stand with you.
May their memories be for a blessing.
Learning with each other this Holiday season--Principal @ChuckMichael98 joined students in SA's Eradicate Hate club in an educational experience first at Rodef Shalom organized by @CWBPgh, and then at The Tree of Life for a special Remembrance ceremony organized by @LIGHT_init.
Last week, students from SAHS, along with staff members Cat DiPasquale, JoAnne Townsend, & Nick Haberman with @LIGHT_init attended the Eradicate Hate Student Summit.
It was a powerful time of collaboration and imagining better possibilities together with @EradicateHate_.
Rachel Coleman ‘26 was inspired by the @light_init to bring human rights teachings and social justice topics to campus.

Just about everyone in the Shaler community turned out tonight for this amazing event celebrating #143Day and finding ways to imagine, care, and connect with their neighbors during #RemakeDays. Wow! So much #kindness, joy, and learning.
Shaler Area High School’s Nick Haberman is quoted in an article on the Tree of Life trial in today’s @washingtonpost. We are grateful for the powerful work Mr. Haberman is doing work with @LIGHT_init to combat hate.
