It’s bittersweet to see this era come to an end, but every stop, it highlights one of the fandom’s greatest waits, the long-awaited moment of finally seeing EXO back on stage and being able to welcome them to our home.
Thank you, EXhOrizon and thank you to every member who became part of this unforgettable era, thank you! 🥹🤍
Regarding this video from Baekhyun’s live, he chose to say “사랑한다” (saranghanda) instead of “saranghae” (casual) or “saranghaeyo” (polite).
In Korean the form of “I love you” you choose carries subtle nuances.
Saranghae and saranghaeyo are directed at a “you” and are the versions idols usually use publicly.
Saranghanda, on the other hand, is the plain/declarative form: more direct, universal and intimate.
It’s used less often in front of fans because it has an almost confessional feel.
By saying “사랑한다” Baekhyun was speaking to us as if we were someone with whom he shares such closeness that he no longer needs to follow the usual linguistic conventions. The form doesn’t ask for a reply… it’s simply him expressing how he feels in the most genuine way possible.
In a late-night live where he said he was shy, he drop the “idol” image and use exactly this form breaking down the barrier between artist and fan.
It wasn’t just a casual phrase. It felt like a real small confession… a deeper, more sincere way to express what he was feeling in that moment toward us.
That’s why many Kfans had the impression he was confessing at the end of a date🥹
NOOO MINSEOK HAD TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL BECAUSE HE PULLED A MUSCLE WHILE YAWNING 😭🤏
"Are you doing well?"
"It's so humid and hot...
If i go outside, i sweat so much"
"While i was yawning... i pulled a muscle in my back....
So i came to the hospital ㅜㅜ"
"I'm dumbfounded ㅋㅋ"
"My neck won't turn ㅋㅋㅋㅋ i'm going crazy"
"I miss you"
The way he got all shy and flustered while whispering ‘I love you’… like he’s confessing his feelings to us at the end of the night and the way he’s so nervous just because it’s been a while since he last did a live with us… even after all these years? Why does he have to be this cute (˶>⩊<˶)
JONGDAE!!!???? 😭 😭 #첸#CHEN
