Gregory Baum a Jewish Roman Catholic Priest was the author of many of Vatican 2’s Documents including Nostra Aetate. Baum joined the Roman Catholic Church and became a priest after his family fled WW2. He promptly left the church after the council.

At the angle of the hypothetical charge, it would have blown out the left side of his neck. There is no bone there for it to bounce off of.

Because that’s what happened. He was struck by a bullet, which deformed his neck. The “exploding mic” or other such nonsense would not do this.
