I will always defend Show Rhaenyra, as she is often “disliked” for what she represents— her occupation of a “role” traditionally held by men— as opposed to her actions: No matter what Rhaenyra does, their willingness to engage with her character was predetermined by this bias.
Most Moral Army in the World in the last 24 hours:
- Shot a baby in the head
- Beat up a random man in a pogrom
- Bombed Lebanese soldiers hours after announcing a truce
- Whistleblower admits they mostly kill unarmed people
And now Congress wants to merge our two militaries
just thinking about how they spent 4 years telling us how alicent’s evil stepmother characterization was cliche writing and needed changing (whitewashing), just to turn around and give it to rhaenyra.
rhaenyra gets saddled with the evil stepmother allegations while the woman who spent years undermining her is treated like this tragic saint who would totally stop the war (that she started) with the push of a button if only she could.... the writing choices need to be studied

They wanna spin this as "I thought you wanted Rhaenyra to be meaner". Yes, towards the people actively disrespecting her and responsible for the killing of her kids and family, not the literal child and step daughter she relies on and never mistreated, genius.
@yuyur1n8_n109z@RachaelEWrites There's also a blatant double-standard regarding the men pursuing the Iron Throne committing all sort of atrocities for the IT but still being considered "fine" for it.
