two weeks since I launched @lightmeterx
1,100+ downloads.
33 people paid for plus, and 24 of them chose lifetime plus membership.
smol numbers, but i'm just grateful :)
more things coming to lightmeter in coming days...
app icon picker in @lightmeterx now reacts to the gyro.
tilt your phone and the icon moves like a real object, so you can look at it properly before you hit save.
A few fixes, and a few small pleasures. A new shot prints into the corner like an instant photo developing.
The icon picker has a live preview that tilts as the phone moves.
The Plus sheet is redesigned too. Members see everything their Plus includes. Everyone else sees exactly what it adds, before spending anything.
The camera and meter stay free.

quick switch between films is now available, and you can save your fav films as well, so you dont have to scroll through all the film looks again and again...
hi, latest @lightmeterx build is out...
film picker
• short tap the chip → bottom sheet opens
• swipe the chip → for quick switch between your fav film stocks
• now you can mark a film stock as favourite
camera
• selfie button is now swap arrows → 180° spin... that smiley icon was way to confusing as per the feedback
• kodachrome 64 is one clean stock again. made a preset in lightroom, tested on bunch of photos and manually tweaked for the app
plus a bunch of minor refinements, including a few bugs
if you are testing, drop a screenshot if anything feels off.
🙏
new lightmeter build is out
some smol updates:
- tapping a photo in lightmeter was opening the first one in the roll. that’s fixed.
- back swipe gestures are working smoothly
- you can mark a favourite.
- delete takes it off the iphone.
- focal lengths use optical zoom now.
- flashlight shots are a bit more honest
- kodachrome 64 got lil more refined, please keep testing the film styles, that's the butter of the app.
some 50ish odd users are testing the app, and a few friends keep sending the shots they took every now and then :)
still lil unhappy with the design of certain components, but lightmeter will eventually get there...
if you are someone who loves to shoot on mobile, your feedback will help me shape the core of the app.
