Secular culture mocks Christian morality. Monogamy is viewed as prudish. Abstinence is for losers. Sobriety is boring. Meanwhile, the children of secular culture are having threesomes in college and snorting ketamine off each other's genitals. Now they're debating about whether one can consent to a threesome, but not an orgy, depending on when the drugs kicked in. This is the consequence of immorality; chaos, trauma, and degradation.
Boomers got their kids off to college and immediately absolved themselves of any responsibility for bringing up future generations. When I (Millenial) was a kid, Silent Gen and WW2 gen adults were still actively involved in every youth-related civic organization. Boy Scouts,
@Catholicizm1 You're spiritually a boomer. My mom didn't have to ask my grandparents to watch me. They would literally just come to my house unannounced to take me.
Girl Scouts, 4-H, church youth groups, all of it. Their kids were adults, and the WW2 ones were retired as well, and they chose to use their time to help spread the load of bringing up a generation so the boomers didn't have to do it all by themselves. They didn't return the favor

I asked my (boomer) mom to watch my (good) kids during the day while I'm at a conference. She said yes, but in the same text:
-said she wouldn't do it again
-made me feel guilty for asking her since she's already so busy
-said she doesn't have the stamina (she's 64 and in good health)
-doesn't want to "be in a disciplinarian role" and just wants to be Grandma
- is leaving early to make it back in time to attend a church function
-and says I need a reliable back up plan because she may bail last minute
Nearly every right-wing influencer who rose to fame in the podcast era has imploded for one reason or another. Yes, he was a boomercon, but Rush Limbaugh led the right-wing movement for 35 years. With everyone who was coming up over the last 10 years, no clear successor emerged.
@Tbjugg00 It wasn't the Heel turn. Austin lost a lot of momentum while he was out. People don't remember that. Rock was the top guy by 2001. The invasion angle sucked, and the product was flooded with jobbers from WCW nobody cared about. That's when my friends and I quit watching.
@grac3nTruth I have a co-worker whose daughter is 23, post-college, and married. He talks to her daily and is constantly checking her location on Life360. I went weeks without talking to my parents at that age.
@Archwinger1 Millennial women will go out there and LARP as breadwinners but if they lose their job then suddenly providing for the family was always supposed to be your responsibility anyway.
