@Teecasket I think this is a fun aspect of the series to disentangle. Their familial relation is integral to the plot because Mei's family issues are a key part of the conflict, but it is ultimately not integral to the romantic dynamic. For Yuzu it's sisters OR lovers, as distinct roles
@Teecasket Mei appears morally dubious because she's a troubled character, then finds more reasonable ways to express affection as the story proceeds. Saying it's incidental kind of misses the point
@Teecasket It's the sweeping genre that matters, I think. Citrus has "faux-incest" elements in its first few chapters but it doesn't justify emphasis as a main story element because it's not in practice
