Also I have a theory regarding why industry has chosen Dallas to plant their corp HQ, and it really just boils down to this:

- DFW airport, unrivaled in size and capability

- DFW datacenters like Equinix on Stemmons

- Access to unlimited huge population of H1B talent in Frisco and McKinney (all of my neighbors were from India)

@Jkylebass I tried Dallas for 1 year before calling Texas quits. And in that 1 year, I experienced:

- Catastrophic flooding
- Golf ball sized hail
- Tornados
- Freezing cold weather
- Oppressive humidity

Icing on the cake: 1-2 hours in traffic + tolls.

Phoenix is the better Dallas. Better more consistent weather, more outdoor activities, nicer people, traffic (nice freeways and grid system), no tollways anywhere in the state, better family laws. Phoenix still feels like America. Dallas/Frisco/McKinney not such much.

lived over 10 years in throughout miami and broward and 1 year in paradise valley/scottsdale…

you wouldn’t believe me when i tell you the quality of life (people, traffic, cost of quality luxury housing), even the fruits and veggies at whole foods is much better in east valley phoenix.

I’m in the network engineering tech field too and feel like one of the last great safe American Suburbs to raise your child is in the East Valley of Phoenix.

He’s playing by USA rules. He knows he has to compensate somehow for his age and is shooting it out there directly when it comes to signalling his ability to provide a great life.

If this was Europe dating etiquette or if he knew definitively that she was a devout Christian, he would know not to lead with this.

But Western woman in American state, with the attention span of an instagram reel or tiktok video…he’s no Brad Pitt and is just playing by modern day western standards for his age, rather than wasting another valuable second.

Without the dog and signaling his wealth, some women would just say he’s just some ‘creepy old man’ trying to get your attention.

But we all know Arizona has the best sunsets in the USA and it technically has to do with the desert dust that kicks up into the atmosphere.
