Nobody will remember:
- your salary
- how "busy you were"
- how many hours you worked
People will remember:
- when FOX snuck an 8K camera onto the field in Washington and it looked like a video game
We tried something new today! Hope u guys enjoyed it. Just looking to add something to the viewing experience going forward. Appreciate the kind responses to it so far!
@LVGully@_Murf It’s actually examples of types of shots. The composition. Not the particular fans or what they’re wearing. The 2 OG’s on top were fans that I didn’t mind singling out. Otherwise I prefer groups cheering at the field, not the camera. RaiderNation will still be seen.
@raidergirl_87 You’re reading into this too much. I directed the show. I don’t like singling out fans unless they’re team sanctioned. And I’d rather see fans cheering at the field rather than screaming directly into the camera. And I don’t like seeing owners eating. That’s what the “no” is for
@GoSeaHox@RoyalsSac206Fan …and the networks are supplying the NFL with camera angles. There isn’t a “NFL operated camera”. What the network shows are the same angles the refs are looking at.
@GoSeaHox@RoyalsSac206Fan SMH. Contractually, the networks have to get in “x” amount of commercial breaks. The NFL is actually the ones who tell the networks to go to break during reviews because they don’t want to have to get that break in during normal game play.
Ok @RycroftMark. gauntlet has been thrown. I want to see YOU operate a SuperMo camera and follow a puck. Once you have done this & your work is critiqued ON AIR by @kylekeefetv@ConorMcGahey@laurenjbara you will have earned the right the criticize. What say you? @AltitudeTV
@JDinChitown Fox actually started it in NFL (Week 15). CBS rushed to mimic it (Week 17) don’t think their Venice was quite ready for prime time on the SB, which is why they added the A1 to the show as well. https://t.co/VCEhWQxz2i
@Rookie_Lanoue@cjzero It’s not the same camera. Same concept, but executed very differently. CBS is having the growing pains that we (FOX) had last season. Difference is we never took it to air during that period. It’s still a work in progress.
@finalsights@wroadie You want the truth? Megalodon was a joke name given to reporters, but it stuck. We used the A7Riv because that’s the camera I owned. Bought it to take pictures of my kids. We use an A7Siii now because it’s better for video. FX6 was too big. Outputting 1080 cuz it’s a 720 show.
NFL divisional weekend on FOX... “Megalodon” camera ready to rock. Just don’t get mowed over by a player 🤞🏻 @ Mercedes-Benz Superdome https://t.co/OdTYEaBCfm
