@elmo elmo this is a great idea and what I do too. on nights where I plan on staying up past my bedtime, I'll take a nap. this is sleep banking and is superior to sleep debt. it clears out metabolic waste and lowers the stress signal.
If you want to be happy in India, don’t watch the news. No election commission controversy, no Bihar molestation case, no Delhi assault, no bank strikes, no murders, no dengue, no political drama.
Just protect your peace, water your plants, drink your chai or eat your dosa and pretend everything is absolutely fine. 🙏
Because if you actually start following the state of affairs, you’ll spend your day angry, and frustrated 🙏🙏
Janhit mein jaari.
I never realized jogging in your 50s would be a great way to meet new people.
Just today, I met two nurses, two EMTs, and a cardiologist.
I was so close to meeting Jesus too.
The incident where villagers were assaulting the couple and the incident where that lady is beating the couple in the train are both on the the similar lines. That lady, if given a choice and environment, will do the same with that couple without thinking twice. Our culture faces a major moral policing problem. The only solution is to react and hit back. I know some of you won’t like my take on this but yeah, we are way backwards as of now. Maybe by 2047-50 things might get better.
Look at this 1950s beach pic, everyone fit as a fiddle! No keto, vegan, or paleo diets. No gym memberships, no fancy fitness tech or wellness influencers. They also weren't drinking protein shakes or counting calories.
So what went wrong? A THREAD 🧵⬇️
Boiled eggs are probably the easiest option to provide. They come with almost zero logistical challenges, require no mixing with the existing meal, and can be served completely separately to children who want them, while vegetarian alternatives can continue for those who prefer veg food.
More importantly, midday meal beneficiaries are largely children from families that often cannot afford a nutrient-rich diet. India is already facing a serious protein deficiency problem, and even PM Modi has publicly raised concerns around nutrition. In that context, the government has a clear responsibility to provide children with affordable, accessible sources of protein.
Anyone arguing otherwise is simply avoiding the real issue and trying hard to bury their heads deep inside the government's backyard.
