There are places we pass through in life… and there are places that become part of who we are.
Manchester will forever be my home.
To the city, the club, and every supporter, my sincerest thank you. These past four years have been unforgettable, filled with moments my family and I will carry with us for the rest of our lives. There simply aren’t enough words to describe the happiness and warmth we’ve felt here.
Thank you for every cheer, every memory, and for making us feel at home from the very first day.
Forever a Red Devil ❤️
🇩🇪🗣️ Jürgen Klopp’s advice for coaches on how to effectively communicate with players. 👀
Liverpool fans must really miss him, he seems like such a brilliant coach.
🚨🗣️ | Ruben Amorim hits back:
“I remember that all the media and fans were saying that a Manchester United manager MUST have a philosophy and an identity.
“Everyone was saying that when the PREVIOUS coach said he couldn’t play the same way here as he did at his former club.
“Everyone was saying that he had been hired for his philosophy and his style of play, and that he wasn’t applying it here.
“So, the system isn’t the problem. It’s the results. If you don’t win, people will point the finger at something. We will change our way of playing, but it will take time. I do things at my own pace.
“If I look at the matches, I think we’ve been unlucky. Luck that we can turn around by being more aggressive and more confident. Sometimes we play well, but it lacks conviction."
🗣️Wayne Rooney - "I remember Fergie's team talk before playing AC Milan. He literally said to Park: 'Your job today is not about touching the ball, it's not about making passes, your job is Pirlo. That's all: Pirlo."😳
"At the time Andrea Pirlo was averaging 110 passes per game, something stupid like that, and out of those, about 60-70 were forward passes, passes that could hurt you. He had this trick: when the ball came to him from the full-back, he would play it first time over your centre-back's head, for Andriy Shevchenko or Kaka to run through. Pirlo was the best l've seen at that pass."👀
"So Fergie said to Park: 'He cannot be allowed that pass. You cannot be one yard or one second late' And I think Pirlo barely had 40 passes in that game, and 95 per cent were backwards because Park was so unbelievable at carrying out his orders. The rest of us appreciated that, physically and mentally, what Park managed to do that night was so difficult."🔥
🗣️Andrea Pirlo on that fateful night - "At Milan, he [Ferguson] unleashed Park Ji-sung to shadow me. He rushed about at the speed of an electron. He'd fling himself at me, his hands all over my back, trying to intimidate me. He'd look at the ball and not know what it was for. They'd programmed him to stop me. His devotion to the task was almost touching. Even though he was a famous player, he consented to being used as a guard dog.”
One of the most under-rated players in Sir Alex Ferguson's time at Manchester United. 🔴
Nicknamed "Three-Lungs" because of his incredible engine. 🏃🏻♂️
He was one of the first names on the team-sheet in every big game, a sign of his importance.
Happy birthday, Park Ji-sung. 🇰🇷
