@Marsh4LL1 Grew up on a rough and tough council tower block/estate, mum was a single mum and a junior in her profession. She grafted everyday to make sure we had food and a roof over our heads.

She also grafted to ensure we all made it in our choosen professions.

@KathyBurke It happens. My daughter's school friend is trans. I slipped up a couple of times early on in their transition. Not just their pronoun, but using the wrong name. They knew I didn't mean any harm, just takes getting used to.

@DrJessTaylor I agree! I've lost long-standing friendship because of staying true to my beliefs. I've seen friends who I thought were sound going back to the 70's a.k.a racist, transphobic, homophobic arses. Brexit did a real number on some people.

@carmarian @Nullen80 It's very sad. To a lesser degree, I've lost friendships due to them being seduced by right wing, Daily Mail propaganda. It's heartbreaking to see really great friendships disintegrate on account of their racism and bigotry. I feel for your friend's husband
