You would’ve been 62 today.
You would’ve been 62 today, and I would’ve taken you somewhere for your birthday dinner. I already know the 3 options you would’ve chose between.
You would’ve been 62 today, and we would’ve sat down at the restaurant and talked politics and anything to do with my life. You loved to hear about my day. That’s all you would’ve cared about. It wouldn’t have mattered that it was yours.
You would’ve been 62 today, and I would’ve bought you something Penn State. I always did. You always loved it. That’s why I got you a Penn State urn, too.
You would’ve been 62 today, but you aren’t. You never made it to this day. You never made it to the last 3.
I hope you know how broken I am without you, not because I want you to feel guilt, but because all that pain is just immense love with nowhere to go now.
I miss you so terribly. I miss having a dad.
Happy birthday.
if you're an adult in your 20s (and i suppose even 30s?) never underestimate the importance of Floor Time. by which i mean lying on the floor for a while every week for no reason so that you don't go crazy and the voices stop. so if you're feeling crazy go get some Floor Time.
Never realized how much can happen in a year until that year is marked by how long you’ve been without someone. So much my dad should have been a part of and seen me accomplish, just in one year. My heart hurts.

Super fitting that my favorite 20/20 host gave the commencement speech for me to receive my masters degree in forensic science🤩 #DavidMuir#SU2022#graduation
Universities can advise students to stay home when they are sick all they want but if professors are requiring attendance, penalizing absences, and/or expecting students to do work while sick, that messaging is basically meaningless. And students know it.
