Today, I signed an Executive Order temporarily repealing bedtimes in the City of New York so that kids of all ages can watch our team in the NBA Finals.
As Mayor, you’re forced to make many difficult decisions. This was not one of them.
Go Knicks.
I think LeBron plays one more year, but if this was it, one tweet will never truly express what he meant to me as a fan and to the NBA as a whole.
I have never watched an NBA season in which he wasn’t named an All Star. I’m not sure sports will ever see anyone like him again.
I see today is going to be “Blame the Rockets!” day rather than maybe a little introspection from folks who at various times this year said with absolute and total conviction…
•LeBron’s contract is an albatross/Lakers should be desperate to move off him.
•The Lakers are better without LeBron on the court.
•KD & Steph are clearly better than LeBron at this point.
•LeBron was a primary problem with the Lakers defense.
•This offseason any serious team shouldn’t offer LeBron more than the mid-level exception.
•The Rockets had 5 of the 6 best players in the series & should sweep the Lakers.
These takes were EVERYWHERE all year long. You were considered delusional/fanboy if you pushed back at all.
And this morning, instead of recognizing that folks are somehow STILL wildly underrating/underestimating the 🐐, they’re just yelling at Durant & Udoka. 😂😂😂
Breaking: The NBA's Board of Governors has approved a vote for the league to explore bids and applicants for expansion teams exclusively in Las Vegas and Seattle, sources tell ESPN. A bidding process is expected to generate offers in the $7-10 billion range for each team.
.@KingJames I want to personally thank you. Thank you for being the ultimate team guy. I see what you are doing. And I know it’s hard to do when there are haters just waiting to say you’re washed up. You know, and we know, that you can still be the best player on the court on any given night; but I see your sacrifice and how you’re putting the team first right now and that is the reason we’re winning the way that we are. Thank you for the leadership. Thank you for sacrificing your body. Thank you for giving 110%. As a lifelong lakers fan, you deserve all the recognition for this selfless approach. I personally think that if we win a title like this it will be one of your most impressive feats we’ve seen. It’s been a joy to watch. #Lakeshow 💯
it's already priced in, everything, all of it, past, present, future, the infinite expanse of the universe,
you're priced, i'm priced, we are all priced, in
obviously lebron has declined as a player that's no secret but the decline is being vastly exaggerated by jj's disastrous utilization of him on a deficient roster
I generally root for greatness because I want to be able to say I saw the greatest team/player/game/moment ever
The OKC are an outlier for me, because everything they do is so wildly unlikable
From their flop+foul-based play style to this “tanking for me but not for thee” move
idc what anyone says
punting on lebron’s final year as a laker
is arguably one of the most disrespectful things this franchise has ever done
especially when pelinka sat up there for years talking about being in charge of protecting lebron’s legacy and doing right by him
we punted an mvp caliber season from luka & wasted likely lebron’s last laker season
im like shocked at dat
austin averaging 25 making 13 million
fire everyone in charge of the decision making fr
they dead to me
not sure how to further buy in to this
product when it’s obvious theres no real
direction and this season is pointless
no young talent development
wasted bron final laker season
wasted austin last 13 mil season
wasted luka mvp caliber season
won’t get a top pick
@stevejones20 Haven’t checked the numbers but looks like lakers are zoning up more and have been more intentional with what they are living with. To a laymen like me it seems like they’re prioritizing preventing paint touches as opposed to open threes. What have you seen?
