@uncvoss Now hiring signs are meaningless. Literally ignore them. Especially at a big business. They keep those signs up 365 days/year even if they're laying people off. They're just selling your info to data brokers. That's why you see an uptick in spam calls and emails after applying

Meanwhile I walk into Target and see six closed checkout lanes, one cashier, and a line at self-checkout.
I applied there. Filled out the online application, did the AI questionnaire, did two interviews, and waited four weeks for a rejection.
Then I went back to the same store and saw the same six registers closed and the same โNOW HIRINGโ sign on the door.
So which is it?
Nobody wants to work, or nobody can get through the machine built to hire them?
