Van Horn agents conducted a vehicle stop on I-10 resulting in the apprehension of 12 migrants attempting to conceal themselves within the cab of the tractor trailer. The U.S. citizen tractor trailer driver was also arrested and taken into custody pending criminal prosecution.

Today we remember the life of Patrol Inspector James M. Carter who tragically lost his life in a plane accident searching for a group who had crossed illegally into the United States.

Today marks the 7-year anniversary of one of Big Bend Sector’s fallen heroes. On 04/18/2016, Border Patrol Agent Jose Barraza passed away in a vehicle accident near Sierra Blanca, TX. Agent Barraza entered on duty as a member of the 800th academy session on August 8, 2008.

The past two days, Van Horn agents responded to two different rescue situations. Thankfully, agents arrived when they did and administered medical care. For this reason, Big Bend Sector is implementing the deployment of more rescue beacons throughout our sector. #Rescue #Summer
