Never felt so bittersweet about an album… (The Fall-Off)
Hard to accept that this might be Cole’s last studio album. For as long as I’ve been a hip hop fan he’s been around, dropping music. His presence will be missed.
That being said, we’re probably getting his MASTERPIECE.
Happy birthday to Thundercat, born on this day in 1984!
A bass virtuoso from Los Angeles, he honed his craft in the city’s vibrant music scene, jamming with punk and jazz bands as a teen.
His genre-defying albums like Drunk (2017) and It Is What It Is (2020) blend jazz, funk, and psychedelic soul, earning a Grammy for Best Progressive R&B Album and inspiring a new generation of boundary-pushing artists.
these four albums being recorded all at the same time and in the same studio always fascinated me
what i would do to be a fly in 1998 buzzing around getting to hear all the magic being made
