During today's joint press statement by the Coalition of Healthcare Professionals of Uganda (CHPU), our Board secretary @The_muramuzi provided the position of the association, and re-affirmed that the current policy National Education and Training for Health Policy 2025 should not be implemented without further review.

The leaders @TheUMAofficial @SLutoti @FUMI20232024 @INMSAstudents @OfficialFUMSA present have jointly refused the policy in the current form.

@AttoGladys I once referred a 9 year old boy following a snake bite the previous evening. He clearly had complications. The mother understood the assignment. However, on the way back home, a senior citizen convinced them otherwise. 2 days later, he died. I have still not recovered.

@AttoGladys There is nothing encouraging to health workers in resource limited settings like referring a patient to a facility that can do more and they actually go and receive that service.
