@PPDJoeMurray Edit: I danced in that performance of the Nutcracker. That year I performed in every Nutcracker show by the Washington Ballet (was something like 37 shows).
@BrianLehrer I dropped the ball and failed to make a Seder this year but I tried to start a convo about freedom/slavery physical or mental. My teens objected to the topic so we talked about my son getting into college for 2020
@katrinagulliver Very fortunate! Won't be in the UK this year for Xmas. Hubs is having issues with his family. We're no longer making the effort when they all run off to other parties & football when we've flown thousands of miles, spent money, etc just to be abandoned somewhere in Hertfordshire
@katrinagulliver No, he lived in Maryland, died in 1987. I grew up with one of his menorahs. Needed a research project bc I was bored and started to investigate. Was a few years ago. Found his granddaughter via Twitter! Gave a paper at a design conference on design/displacement in Sept.
@katrinagulliver A Holocaust survivor who made Hanukkah menorahs out of carpentry nails (among other things) - trying to go for the Outsider Art angle. I just need to get this guy recognized. I'm the first person to dive into his life and work.
Get this, Trump's new NAFTA (now USMCA) trade agreement requires Mexico to pay auto workers a minimum wage of $16 dollars an hour. But Trump and GOP won't support paying Americans a $16 dollar minimum wage. It's a better deal for Mexican workers than American workers.
With the nation glued to the Kavanaugh hearings, Paul Ryan and Republicans in the House were busy passing more tax cuts for the rich. https://t.co/aDEqHaBkkn
@JYSexton Agreed. While the sexual assault claims are worth addressing, what is truly important is his handling of the allegations and his past which absolutely show his character, or lack thereof. #NoToKavanaugh
Brett Kavanaugh failed in every conceivable way. He lied repeatedly under oath, expressed disturbing partisanship, and behaved belligerently. All are reasons not to confirm, and that’s without considering highly credible sexual assault allegations.
"Every day Rosenstein stays put, Special Counsel Robert Mueller gets to do his job absent interference. ... The day Rosenstein is actually forced out will be a very bad day," write @susan_hennessey & @benjaminwittes. https://t.co/pkhLKqvvmI
