Since there's a jp girl in the comments insisting that Caleb is Japanese because AI said so, alright, let’s be fair and take a look. This is a ranking of the most handsome side profiles of jp actors by jp magazine. Here are Yan's side profiles and Caleb’s. What do you guys think?
@_lycagon@huajuankookies If you love him, stop calling him Caleb which will cause more trouble to him. Just read his statement, he's just being himself.
@FritzArago@cc815389@mofumofucosplay@afternndeIight Tbh, Japan is the least likely country that the designer would use as inspo. Lads main player base is in China, and this would instantly trigger a backlash causing the entire game to disappear instantly(not joking). As a Japanese person, I think you understand the reason.
@FritzArago@cc815389@mofumofucosplay@afternndeIight lmao Even after I showed a person who looks like carbon copy, you still insist that AI says Caleb looks Japanese? ok, according to AI analysis, Naruto is classified as white rather than Japanese.
Usually, CN players refuse to discuss character prototypes, which leads to disillusionment. The only exception is Caleb, this has become a common consensus. (I’m not a fan of Yan Yikuan, he was at the peak of his fame before I was even born.)
Yan Yikuan was the national heartthrob in China in the early 2000s. When Caleb’s character was first revealed, players immediately noticed the resemblance and even debated on Infold whether to give Yan Yikuan credit.
For Skyheaven, it seems to be a blend of Beijing (the political center, players discoverd it closely resemble Beijing’s Wangjing area) and Guangzhou (evidenced by the Canton Tower visible outside Caleb's window). Additionally, District N109 appears to be chaotic version of HKong.
The above image shows how CN players unintentionally discovered similarities between the game and real life. This is just one example; we often experience a sense of déjà vu, and it happens frequently.😂
