I’ll do you one better, with the benefit of seeing how everything has played out let me know how Howie has done since 2022?
The good like a+ good - Quinyon and Cooper
AJ trade was initially good obv but in hindsight we could have let him go a bit sooner or not reupped him for the max
The bad - overall draft performance
the crazy contracts for
Huff,
Bradbury,
free money for Saquon,
huge contracts for JC and JD
Consistently letting great glue/role players leave for mid to small contracts elsewhere.
Blankenship-nakobe-isaiah Rodgers
The never ending line of trades for big names that draw excitement but don’t work out
Are we not talking about 3 years ago? So wouldn’t the narrative from 3 years ago be the most relevant to this particular question?
He was an assistant head coach for commanders last two years and senior offensive assistant for rams this year.
All it would tell me is that he hasn’t been a hot name since and that likely was his only shot and the Eagles defense cost him dearly. NFL coaching cycles are as much luck as anything else.
No one wanted bellichek, no one wanted vrabel - 0 offers for a year then he was the hottest thing ever. Sirianni would likely never get a HC look anywhere ever again. There’s only 32 HC in the NFL and you have to be the hot name at the right time to have a shot. 75% don’t last beyond 4 years with a team.
@Slayden44 Oh and even though it’s clearly the coaches and the scheme now. We’re still going to pretend it was actually Jalen last year since there weren’t the injuries.
Notice how they try to dance that dance of clearly the offense and scheme are horrible but Jalen Hurts should have done more, with that scheme, with more
guys off the practice squad, with more guys playing their first NFL games protecting him, because he make more money! And since he didn’t lead that offensive unit to 30 pts a game he sucks and we should move on from him SO BADLY that it’s worth a $45m cap hit. Cant make this shit up.
This is one of the hardest things for me to share because I’ve never been comfortable asking for help.
This week, our Riley unexpectedly underwent her 14th brain surgery after her shunt malfunctioned.
It’s been an overwhelming few days for our family, and some unexpected financial challenges have come with it.
Our family started this fundraiser to help us navigate everything. Whether you’re able to donate, share, or simply keep Riley in your prayers, it means more to us than you know.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. ❤️

@BCameronNFL Never easy. There are some good people out there. Helping others can bring joy to some of us. Hopefully you feel that positivity and better less stressful days are on the horizon.
@SlimReaperSzn6 I almost feel bad. The NFL really should let other teams watch film of the players they’re trading for rather than just making them guess what a player looks like.
For anyone surprised… he is who he said he was, you just had to believe him.
@JeffKerrPHL The defense was dead last in the NFL (I think, right?) putting tremendous pressure on the offense who just couldn’t stop the crazy mistakes down the stretch.
I dont believe anyone did anything wrong, but i do believe the process could be looked at and possibly changed to benefit everyone moving forward. I want the Eagles and Jalen to be happy with each other and move forward hand in hand and simultaneously have this situation possibly save a life in the future.
@JamesSeltzer no one is saying “we checked his lungs initially at they were clear”. They had no reason to check them in London because he wasn’t showing symptoms. He could have had PE all along, before the game, before the flight - no one would have medically done anything wrong and yet he could have died. That’s where the protocol should be looked at imo. The argument this morning was they may have made it worse - it’s also possible they just didn’t have the full view and it was already there.
@RossTuckerNFL can you calm yourself down for a moment and take step back to ponder this - all Drs can agree that everything was done absolutely proper for the information that they had available at that time - but the protocol could POSSIBLY be better to provide more information for the Drs every step of the way. We still don’t have any idea (maybe the Drs or Jalen do, but haven’t alluded to this) when the PE developed it could have been there unchecked all along. @WIPMorningShow
I’ve been trying to shed light to this as well. It’s not as black and white as people are trying to say. All of the Dr. keep chiming in with the caveat “if it was just a svt” no one did anything wrong. All parties agree with that yet we can still look at it and say well it wasn’t confirmed at that time that it was just an SVT because the symptoms didn’t call for further testing but maybe in the future it would be beneficial to hit the pause button and do further testing when an SVT is found. A possible change in protocol to prevent a situation like this in the future while acknowleding no one was negligent with the current protocol. Based on the worded statements I don’t think they checked for PE in London because there were no symtpoms so if no testing was done we won’t know if he played in a game and flew home with more than just an SVT.
I understand, and thanks for weighing in. I wasn’t saying he necessarily had or needed a chest CT. My question was more about whether there’s a case for looking into the possible benefit of broader screening when an NFL player is diagnosed with an SVT. Given the frequent travel and decisions about returning to contact football, could there be enough benefit to checking for additional clots—whether DVT or PE—to outweigh the downsides, even without other symptoms? I realize those downsides go beyond the time it takes, and more testing isn’t automatically better.
You guys always make it so easy to point out how dumb your argument is.
Bruises don’t call for ultrasounds. In fact they didn’t check until 2 days after treatment started, after arriving in London out of an “abundance of caution” so there was still no actual reason to check. Why did they abundance of caution end there? There is also medical studies suggesting DVT is often associated with SVT. https://t.co/Ir4uTzveXb so I will say again so you can try to process it better that just because the current medical guidelines don’t demand it doesn’t mean those guidelines can’t be improved in the future based on this case. Players could play in games after showing signs of ataxia prior to the Tua investigation in 2022. Shit changes, sometimes for the better of everyone.
Well… they eventually did so why did they later but not initially? Even just lungs and the leg. Medically nothing would tell them to so they wouldn’t have most likely yet the way the statements read dipshits like you are concluding he was checked thuroughly and those clots weren’t present at that time. It can be true that everything was done by the book, no one did anything wrong or nefarious and yet the process should still be changed in the future. Thats how processes evolve and improve. Statement from the @NFLPA:
“The NFLPA is not aware of any NFL investigation into the medical care provided to Jalen Hurts. In fact, the league previously informed the union that it did not plan to review the care he received. Before conclusions are drawn about how this situation was handled, there must be a full investigation into what occurred. Determining the facts is essential to ensuring players receive the highest level of care and protection going forward.”
