People are STILL inheriting seats in the House of Lords – and they don't want to give them up. Don't let them block reform - sign now to tell them that time is up for hereditary peers. It takes 30 seconds. https://t.co/MMqfXSauAw
Dear #WhiskySanta, please may you put @Auchentoshan Three Wood from @MasterofMalt under my tree? I've been really good this year! https://t.co/M0dkKZIAgC
@JWiggy15 @DInspLeeMartin You say you’re “old school” as though it gives you a free pass on a ridiculous point of view. How about you consider moving your stance into the “current school”? It’s 2024! I’m 63. I’d rather see a Mohawk in uniform than suffer a station stamp.
When you call 999, your call is graded.
I - Immediate Response - 15 Minutes
S - Significant Response - 1 Hour
E - Extended Response - 24 Hours
If a suspect is still on scene, there is a threat to life or damage to property is imminent, it’ll most likely be an Immediate Response. If you’ve been assaulted and the suspect has left or is no longer nearby, or if your house has been broken into but the suspect has left it’ll be a significant response. If you come home and there’s graffiti on your wall, it’ll most likely get an extended response. These are just examples and not exclusively the rule, depending on vulnerability of the victim and other factors. 👀
So for example yesterday we paraded eight response capable vehicles (bear in mind most Police Officers are *not* blue light trained) and five non response vehicles. Late afternoon all of our units were all on scene at emergencies and there was one immediate response call outstanding and over 30 significant response calls outstanding. I took the last immediate response call, because I had been out to supervise a sudden death, but this is an entirely normal scenario pretty much everyday. 🤷🏼♂️
Call volume out weighs demand. We do not have enough Cops on Response Teams to meet the demand. 😞
It’s that simple. 👀
My previous response team and my current response team and the teams all over London work as hard as they can every shift to get to as many calls as possible every day. But they can’t rush what they deal with at each call. 💯
That’s why there’s delays getting to significant response calls. 🤷🏼♂️ #ThinBlueLine 🚨
@ResponsePS@jenpot I listened to it, courtesy Audible. Wonderful book, beautifully narrated by Mike Grady. I have been pronouncing “fungi” as he does ever since. 🥰
@ResponsePS I saw it and assumed it was an elderly person whose mental health wasn’t quite up to snuff. But I’ve seen him now and he’s just a little schoolboy twat in a flat cap. 🤷🏻♀️
@ResponsePS 1) Miss TC is probably right. “Tech Neck” is a medically recognised thing.
2) having tried all sorts, I have found definite improvement from my Groove Pillow, ads for which will now bombard you because you said “pillow” on social media. 😄
