@cloudyskycomics@TheCreatureHero What was 1930s superman fighting against. Bad land lords, politicians, wife beaters, the entirety of WW2 books, wonder womens creator stating she was about female empowerment. Superman radio show straight out ousting KKK meeting location. To mock them
@otter_bloopers No stan lee even said stories like his X-Men were an allegory for civil rights. Read some of the older green arrow green lanterns. For some examples
@TheCreatureHero@KAMbot1138 I thought we were having a civil conversation. But as for not knowing my stuff I read comics for around 29 to 30 years. The first book I read was an X-Men book. But if I wanna be a dick to go be miserable else were
@TheCreatureHero Now if they later went one with that I don't know. Comics are boring any more. Reboots to pretty much tell the same story again. Not letting the characters retire after after 50+ years some even more
@TheCreatureHero Plus you stated earlier that if comics were to use LGBTQ characters they should be original. Yet when an original character written as a lesbian was going to marry her fiance people like you threw a fit and got that book stopped. So the comic company can't win either way
@TheCreatureHero I miss worded that. It was an issue that got cancelled due to a woman marrying a woman. Due to outrage. It was one of the batwoman comics. Well written or not. The issue that would have covered the wedding got cancelled due to twitter outrage of two woman marring
@TheCreatureHero There was no explanation when Lex Luther went from mad scientist to evil business man. It just happened in a reboot which is an example of the core idea of the character being changed. If black cat is acting like a tool that's a writing issue not a character being bi issue
@TheCreatureHero I do find it funny that DC and Marvel characters are rewritten over and over with changes to personality, backstory etc. And no one bats an eye. Yet if it's a LGBT or race people lose their minds. New a original character from the last 35 years that sold well and is still selling
@TheCreatureHero It does not change the core of Felicia Hardy. It adds a little bit. Shes still everything she was before. This has always been the way of western hero comics. Characters are changed to fit the day and age they are written in.
@Alandevine9@nininikki__ @DaleCloudyman @Faben17542775 @ThomasWillett9 All words are made up. Also no it is still on an apples to oranges comparison. I identify as female making me trans. You identify as your birth sex. Making you cis. Just a short hand term for what you are. Noone is out there referring to you as cis like "hey cis come here"
@TheCreatureHero Let me ask you this. How many times has superman been rewritten with small changes. A crap ton of times. Black Cat being bi does not in any way change the core identity of the character.
