@dieworkwear one theory i have for the 'macho men wear too-tight clothes' is that they never want to be mistaken for being fat because that has such a negative connotation in modern body-politics parlance. The irony being that the tight clothes end up making them look smol. Thoughts on that?
@LegionHoops He's doing a protracted version of the "awakening of conscience" that he might have done in just a few years as a typical college kid. Pointing out valid wrongs in the world as if recognizing them is itself a moral act. I feel for him in some ways, but also...barf.
One of the most useful and endearing skills for a bureaucrat is understanding that NOBODY cares about your paperwork. They may have to do it, but they do not care.
liberal arts education does not turn you gay, but it does get you jarringly large amounts of ass (especially in your 20s) and that's why conservatives hate it. Gay/straight/other kinds of ass depending on what you're going for, but the result is the same. 🍑
@ETMoeller yes, totally! it's pretty staggering how popular it is--much more than i once thought. i don't even know that it being dumb is a bad thing, but it feels kinda surreal watching it sometimes. :)
i actively follow the NFL via youtube highlights the day after games every week. Every week probs 1-2 hours of interest in the sport. American football has to be the dumbest fucking sport to make it out of the "let's invent new sports" period of human history.
