World #1 Aryna Sabalenka comes back from 2-5 down in the 2nd set to beat McCartney Kessler 6-1, 7-6(9) and reach the 3rd round at #Wimbledon... against Jelena Ostapenko. Should be fun!
Had to save FOUR set points in a great second set.
What an unbelievable fumble from HBO
If they gave us those last two episodes at the end of 2, it goes down as a great season and the hype for Season 3 would’ve been biblical.
Sabalenka d. Bartunkova 2-6 7-6(2) 6-4 in Berlin
Incredible comeback from Aryna
Down a set and a double break against an opponent playing fearless tennis… but she kept believing
One of the many reasons she's world No. 1
✅33rd win of 2026
Always ready for a fight
🐅
World #1 Aryna Sabalenka comes back INCREDIBLY from 2-6, 0-4 to beat 20yo Nikola Bartunkova 2-6, 7-6(2), 6-4 and reach the semifinals in Berlin.
Can be a very important win for her.
THE SUPERSTAR. The other girlies fans always trying to make fetch happen but the way they lose their rag on anything Sabalenka is the only proof in the pudding you need. Sabalenka is carrying the WTA on her back.
No matter what happens I’ll still always support Aryna. Even during the toughest moments, it sucks but I’ve learnt to try my best to come to peace with these results because I can’t imagine how she feels
THIS IS THE WAY EVERYONE SHOULD BE TALKING ABOUT @SabalenkaA. She is human. My heart hurts. You’re always my number 1, and I have only good to say about you, you’re forever my inspiration ARYNA ❤️❤️
Venus Williams says on the TNT Roland Garros Desk that she was sad when Aryna Sabalenka said she felt like quitting tennis after her loss, ‘To deal with letting yourself down is the hardest thing in the world… This should make her stronger’
“I was feeling sad actually. I was kinda like.. I got taken on her emotions. A lot of empathy for her. And she leaves it all on the court. You see everything she feels on the court. Perhaps maybe take a little more time if you need to before the press conference, because I don’t think she wants to quit tennis. That would be a tragedy for tennis and a tragedy for her. But when you lose it’s just so, like, ugh. The inner struggle is real. I like that she lets us in, lets us be a part of her world in that way. What happened today happens to every player at some point in time. And it hurts. The worst part is that you let your own self down. And to deal with letting yourself down is the hardest thing in the world. If you just get beat, you just got beat. If somebody wiped you off the court, you got beat, they played better… You can deal with that. But right now she’s dealing with her own disappointment. It’s hard to sleep at night with that. What I’ll also say is that any of us would take the year she’s had. I think she’s just amplifying in this moment. But she’s had a great year. I don’t think she should have any regrets. This should make her stronger.” ❤️
