Today, the newly appointed Board of the Kenya Trade Network Agency (KenTrade) paid me a courtesy call, marking our first engagement since their appointment. They briefed me on the agencyโs ongoing and planned projects, with particular focus on the National Electronic Single Window System, a critical platform that brings together services from over 40 government agencies to streamline trade approvals.
I emphasized the need for efficiency, alignment with national priorities, and strong collaboration across institutions. I also stressed accountability, transparency, and effectiveness in service delivery, making it clear that there must be zero tolerance for corruption. I called on the Board to exercise diligent oversight so that KenTrade fully delivers on its mandate of facilitating trade and driving Kenyaโs economic growth. Above all, I directed that KenTradeโs work must remain firmly focused on unlocking Kenyaโs trade potential.
