The interesting thing about AI coding tools isn’t that they can write code now.

It’s that they’re starting to move into everything around the code.

Cursor is building:
→ code hosting
→ PR workflows
→ agents
→ code browsing
→ deployment/CI integrations

At some point, the “AI coding assistant” stops being an assistant.

It becomes the development environment.

And I think that shift is much bigger than autocomplete.
